KDFSF serves as the apex body for 48 primary fish marketing societies, representing 39 coastal villages in Kanyakumari District. We facilitate collective decision-making and strategic planning for the community's welfare.
Our village societies operate on a cooperative model, empowering sea-going fishermen by managing fish sales, savings, and loans, ensuring fair practices and financial independence.
We offer a range of services, including marketing support, credit access, supply of fishing inputs at competitive prices, and welfare activities, ensuring holistic support for our members.

KDFSF conducts an annual General Body meeting where key decisions are made, policies are reviewed, and strategic directions are set for the coming year.
Eleven regular Board meetings are held each year, involving elected representatives who oversee the federation's operations, financial management, and project implementations.
The Executive Committee, elected by the General Body, is responsible for the day-to-day management of KDFSF, ensuring that the federation's objectives are met and that members' needs are addressed efficiently.
